The color and tint controls work together to modify the color of
the faceted area (edge) and/or the unfaceted area (center)
of the image. The color controls select which colors are to be
used and the tint controls select how strongly the color is
applied. The range is from 0 to 100 where 0 is no change and 100
replaces the image area completed with the solid color selected.
The following example shows the same image without any tint and
with different tint colors applied to both the edge and center.

shown above.
