Sample Images

Welcome to the world of Fractals. So what is Fractals? Technically speaking, although it shows up on the filters or effects menu of your graphics editor, the words filter or effect don't really describe it accurately.

A better way to put it is that Fractals is a complete computer generated graphics tool. With Fractals and the new generation of powerful personal computers you can create fantastic digital images based on the equations of fractal geometry. And Fractals makes it easy so you don't have to be a mathematical genius to do it.

In fact you really don't have to understand the mathematics at all to get the most out of everything this plug-in has to offer. But if you're curious about what's behind it all, go ahead and have a look at some of the topics in the Fractals Help page. A good place to start is with the Pattern control.

Down at the bottom of this page there's a sample screen shot of Fractals showing the default control settings. One thing you'll probably notice immediately is the large number of controls compared to the other PhotoSwizzle plug-ins. Don't let that scare you away. Just click on any of the controls in the screen shot on this page to get help.

Probably the best way to get started is to step into the Fractal Gallery and have a look around. Each of the samples in the gallery is linked to another web page with a larger view and a screen shot of the control settings used to create it. Pick one that you like and use that as a starting point, then experiment with the controls little by little until you get used to them.
