Local/Internet

The screen shot above shows what the Registration main window looks like when Local is selected. Name must be your name as you entered it at the time that you purchased the license, but with reasonably flexible rules. The Credit Card Number must also match the one that you used to purchase the license. The License Number is given to you at the NVR secure web site after the purchase is complete. Both of these are fixed and the License Number remains valid regardless of how many times you run the Registration plugin. These are also sent to you by email after you purchase the license. The screen shot below shows an example of how the entries are filled in for Local registration:

Name must be your name as you entered it at the time that you purchased the license, but with reasonably flexible rules. The Customer ID Number is given to you when you purhase a license at the NVR secure web site. The Registration Key is also given to you at the web site if you purchase a license by other than credit card. The Registration Key only works one time and after it is used to successfully register, you can throw it away because it won't work again. To repeat registration because of a disk crash, moving your license to a different computer, etc. you can get a new Registration Key by leaving the Registration Key entry blank and clicking the Register Now button. For example, the screen shot below shows how the entries might be filled out to get a new Registration Key:

A new Registration key is then sent to you by email and is good for registration one time only. The following pop-up window is displayed when a key request has been successfully processed:

Then you can complete the registration by entering the key in the Registration Key entry box and clicking the Register Now button. For example here's how the final registration is completed:

Note that for the Internet method your computer must have an active internet connection both times that you click the Register Now button, i.e. when you want to get a new Registration Key or to complete your registration after you have the Registration Key. After registration is complete the other plugins use information stored on your computer to verify that the software is registered and they run completely independent of the internet connection.
